I stopped in my tracks when I saw this gentleman at the Casa Rabeca in Tabajara. The cavalo-marinho is kind of like the Italian comedia dell’arte, and I could tell this guy was just reveling in the pure joy of it.

In the early morning right after dawn, after the all-night sambada do maracatu, dancing the cavalo-marinho in the streets of Condado, just for the joy of it!
